Affiliate disclosure
If ADHDAF can ever earn from a recommendation, you'll know about it before you click.

Where things stand right now
ADHDAF currently has no affiliate or referral partnerships and no sponsored placements. Nothing on this site earns a commission today, and no product has been included because of a payment. If that changes, it will be disclosed in the way described below — and never quietly.
Three kinds of recommendation
Every entry in the recommended toolkit carries one classification, so you always know what the recommendation rests on:
- Personally used — tried first-hand, for long enough to know how it behaves on an ordinary day. Only used when it is actually true.
- Personally recommended — recommended without first-hand use, for example because people I know rely on it. This is a judgement, not a test.
- Research-backed suggestion — supported by published evidence rather than by personal experience. No personal use is claimed.
Personal experience will never be invented. If an entry has not been used first-hand, it says so, and a product is never described as tried when it wasn't.
Affiliate links
An affiliate link pays ADHDAF a small commission if you buy through it, at no extra cost to you. If affiliate links are ever used:
- The disclosure sits next to the link itself, in the entry, so it is read before the click — not buried on this page.
- A commission never decides whether a product is included, where it ranks, or how it is described. A product earns its place by removing a real friction, and it leaves when it stops.
- There is no undisclosed ranking advantage. Paid and unpaid entries are presented in the same order the editorial judgement produces, and any paid placement is labelled as such.
- Products that aren't worth using won't be listed, with or without a commission.
Sponsorships
ADHDAF may eventually accept sponsorships, and if it does they will be obvious:
- Sponsored content is visibly identified — a Sponsored label on the entry, plus a note next to the link.
- Payment buys visibility only. It never buys a positive verdict, a favourable description, a recommendation classification, or the removal of an honest criticism.
- Sponsors get no approval over the wording, no advance sight of the entry, and no say in what else is recommended alongside them.
- Editorial independence is not for sale. Any sponsorship that would require a claim I don't believe is declined.
Links that are not affiliate links
Some links point to a maker's own site with no tracking and no commission. Those are there for information, not for earning, and the entry says so.
Sometimes the recommendation is nothing
Before suggesting an app or a product, ADHDAF will ask whether the problem could be solved by removing something instead: turning off a notification, closing a tab, cancelling a subscription, leaving the thing you already own on the counter. Free options and tools you already have come first.
- Buying nothing is a legitimate recommendation. It is also the one that pays ADHDAF the least, which is exactly why it stays on the table.
- No product is required to make progress, and nothing here will suggest that your life improves in proportion to what you spend.
